Ledger

LedgerDecision integrity for venture capital.

Ledger is an append-only decision record for venture funds. It freezes assumptions at the moment an INVEST / PASS decision is made, and records when those assumptions weaken or break over time.

If it wasn't written down, it wasn't a decision.

Why Ledger exists

Ledger is an append-only system for recording assumptions at the moment a decision is made, and tracking when those assumptions weaken or break over time. It exists to prevent hindsight bias and narrative reconstruction in high-stakes environments.

  • Institutions rewrite history after outcomes are known
  • Good decisions and good outcomes get conflated
  • Learning quietly collapses over time

Ledger preserves the sequence of belief → decision → drift, without allowing edits.

Ledger is not software for managing decisions.

How it works

  1. 1. Assumptions are written before a decision
  2. 2. A decision is made and recorded immutably
  3. 3. Time passes
  4. 4. Drift is recorded when assumptions weaken or break

Nothing more. Nothing less.

The constraint is the product

  • Assumptions lock at decision time
  • Drift is appended, never edited
  • The original conviction remains visible forever

Who Ledger is for

  • Institutions that already care about decision hygiene
  • Teams willing to preserve reasoning even when outcomes are uncomfortable

Ledger does not create discipline. It reveals whether it exists.

Ledger is currently used by a small number of pilot institutions.

Access is provisioned manually to keep the system constrained.
